About Us
Ta’Meca Surles was named Timeco at birth but was taught to spell and pronounce her name as Tameca. Tameca, now known as Ta’Meca, is the oldest of five children from her mother’s side and the second oldest of seven from her biological father’s side. Ta’Meca grew up in a dysfunctional home filled with chaos and the unknown daily.
Ta’Meca, observant and a swift learner, adapted expeditiously to environments, creating solutions to problems before they appeared, removing herself quickly from toxic situations, and adapting survivor skill sets without blinking. Ta’Meca would often clean, dance, lay in the grass, or imagine a better life when life became overwhelming as a child, and these traits carried into adulthood skill sets.
Ta’Meca loved school, providing a source of structure and stability for home, which changed every year, making it challenging to develop or form authentic friendships. Ta’Meca received good grades in school, often making honor rolls and a few times high honor roll achievements. Being accepted into college was easy. Making it easy, she only applied to Pennsylvania State and was accepted. She enrolled, completed financial aid documents, secured her dorm room, and scheduled transportation with her counselor, only to never attempt to start classes. Ta’Meca lacked self-confidence, worth, support, and strength to leave a broken place.
Ta’Meca went on to have one son out of marriage and another during marriage. Ta’Meca committed to herself and her firstborn: never treat him like a stepchild, never allow anyone else to treat him like a stepchild, and NEVER love one son more than the other. This vow to break a generation curse ran several courses of marriage, leading to two divorces.
Ta’Meca began searching for answers and clarity to her question: Why Me? In her search, she discovered WHY NOT Me? She began peeling back the layers and layers of trauma. She learned the power of Self-Love, Acceptance, and Accountability. She also completed her associate’s and then bachelor’s degrees, certification as a New York State OPWDD broker, and obtained her real estate license, property adjuster license, project management, and paralegal certification. Ta’Meca transformed from Broken N2 Healing Productions – she understood and accepted the assignment!
